In Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving may be my favorite holiday. It is a time where my family enjoys spending the day preparing our timeless recipes and catching up without all of the hustle of our normal lives. One of our family traditions is to go around the table and share what we are all thankful for. Although most of these sentiments are pretty thoughtful, I remember one year when one of the children was just grateful for gravy!
As we think about the areas in our lives where we are most grateful, certainly relationships with our coworkers remain at the top. For me, I purchased a life insurance policy to support Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in honor of coworker and cancer survivor Natalie Coxe. I am fortunate to work with Natalie in our office and she is powerful example of a cancer survivor. I made MUSC the beneficiary of this policy and make small tax-deductible premium payments each year. It was easy to do and my hope is to make a larger impact with this gift at a future date.
On behalf of Natalie, Haley, and Catherine, we wish you the most peaceful Thanksgiving. We are grateful for your friendship and humbled by your support and connection with us.
With gratitude,
Linda
