We’re thinking of each of you as we find new ways to stay connected during this pandemic. Please continue to check MUSC’s coronavirus updates for the latest information on COVID-19.
What a busy month it has been! In May, we celebrated the graduation of more than 600 students from the Medical University of South Carolina in a special drive-through commencement, as well as several virtual hooding and award ceremonies. We congratulate each of our graduates and are excited to welcome them as MUSC alumni! I hope you had the opportunity to see some of the virtual celebrations planned by the College of Medicine and the College of Pharmacy.
We also congratulate our Golden Graduates, who graduated from MUSC 50 years ago this year! MUSC President David J. Cole, M.D., FACS, and his wife, Kathy, recorded a video message from their home for our Golden Grads, extending them our best wishes and hopes that we will all gather again soon.
As we begin to look at a potential return to our offices, I hope we also bring some of the lessons we’ve learned with us. I also look forward to seeing colleagues and each of you in person!
Despite all that has happened these last few months, we have received gifts and pledges, including planned gifts, for COVID-19 emergency response funds. We have also received gifts to support scholarships, research, and programs across the Medical University. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to changing what’s possible.
Stay well,
Linda
