It is hard to imagine that it has been nearly a year since we started working from home. At the time, we all thought we would be out of the office for just a few weeks! Please know that while the MUSC Office of Planned Giving continues to work remotely, we remain at your service and available to assist you.
As you may already be aware, anyone 65 years of age and older is now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in South Carolina. As a reminder, health care workers and parents who are home caregivers of chronically ill or special needs children 16 years of age or younger are also eligible to receive the vaccine. You may schedule through MUSC Health online at muschealth.org/vaccine or by calling our new 24-hour call center at 843-876-7227.
I also want to update you on plans for our annual retired faculty and staff luncheon. As you can imagine, meeting in person would not be safe. Instead, we are putting together a booklet for each retiree. It will include updates from the Medical University, as well as updates from our retirees on the blessings they experienced in 2020. Thank you to those who have already contributed to our booklet.
Some of the blessings you have shared with us so far include remaining healthy and safe throughout 2020, welcoming grandchildren into the world and being published! We are so grateful to hear from you and see that you are doing well. We're excited to share these booklets with you and hope they inspire you as they did us.
We continue to be grateful for the leadership that MUSC has demonstrated throughout this pandemic. We look forward to the day we can all meet again in person and celebrate your wonderful gifts.
