As both an experienced educator and gift planning professional, Toni joined the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007 as Director of Gift Planning. Accomplishments include non-profit leadership roles where she has established and integrated major gift and planned giving programs. Currently, Toni provides support to donors, alumni, staff and professional advisors on complex gift plans and technical information such as current legislation, legal compliance, financial considerations and tax implications.
With experience in the areas of estate planning administration, life insurance, operations and marketing, McLaurin joined MUSC's Office of Development team in 2010. She is responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of MUSC's gift planning program, which includes Charitable Trusts, Gift Annuities, Endowed Gifts, Term Gifts and Life Insurance Gifts. McLaurin manages estates in probate and is available to help donors implement new gift plans. She also manages the ongoing relationships with charitable fund managers.
